Thanks mostly to all the hard work and dedication from the
swimmers, coaches, and volunteers that have made this past year
memorable for everyone.

HISTORY
The Pacifica Sea Lions Aquatics Club (PSL) was founded in 1964.
Many outstanding swimmers have been on our team. Leffie Crawford,
who was a PSL swimmer in the 80’s competed in the 2000
Olympic Trials. Before using Oceana Pool, the team worked out at
Terra Nova HS. Team records date back to 1972.
The Pacifica Sea Lions Aquatics Club, a non profit club, is run by
its elected Board of Directors which meets each month. All members
are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team
activities and fundraisers.
We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to
maintain a well rounded competitive swim team. Thank you for
joining us. We are looking forward to meeting you. Please feel free
to ask
another member or coach any question you may have.

USA Swimming’s
policy for membership protection
is:

To provide safety education for its membership;
-
To provide excess accident medical protection for USA Swimming
members who may suffer injuries while participating in insured
activities;

To provide evidence of financial responsibility so that USA
Swimming clubs can conduct insured
activities.
To implement this policy, USA Swimming has adopted two major
programs:
These two programs are intended to provide
reasonable protection for USA Swimming athletes and
clubs.
An
Income
Statement is a standard
financial document that summarizes a company’s revenue and
expenses for a specific period of time, usually one quarter of a
fiscal year and the entire fiscal year. It is important that both
investors and company managers be able to read and understand this
document in order to understand the company’s financial
condition
The IRS has taken its workshops and
resources for small and
mid-sized charitable organizations to cyberspace. The new on-line
workshops and materials are free and completely anonymous; no
registration is required to access them. Although the workshops and
resources focus on issues related to 501(c)(3) organizations’
compliance with the tax code, anyone can view them—in any
order, as often as they wish.
How Not to Lose Your
Tax-Exempt Status: Congratulations if you have jumped through all of the hoops to become
a 501(c)(3) organization. But now you must be careful that your actions
don’t draw attention from the IRS or cause you to lose your
exempt designation.

Gifts: If you didn’t get
the gift—and in some instances you won’t—there
are usually ten "horrid reasons." There may be more, but these are
the primary ones.
