Our PSL swim team went to South Lake Tahoe July 8th ? July 10th and competed with teams from all over Northern California and Western Nevada. The team had an overall improvement rate of 51.9%. Our youngsters anchored the team with Michelle Simpson taking first place in the overall U6 girls and Madison Gomes finishing fourth overall for the U6 girls.

The team had a great time in Tahoe enjoying the terrific weather, a fantastic team barbecue, and a fun night of laser tag. We really appreciate all of the effort put into the coordination of this trip by our coaches, board of directors, and mostly our parent volunteers. We look forward to the start of short course season with our first meet to be held at Westmoor High School in Daly City on September 23rd-25th. Please come out and cheer us on!
The Pacifica Sea Lions has two fundraisers of interest coming up. The first is a mosaic tile project where interested members of the public can purchase tiles to be included in a mural that will be mounted on the wall of the Oceana Pool. Similar projects have beautified other public areas in Pacifica and have raised money for many good causes. Please stop by the pool for more information and select yours or your family?s tile to mount on the wall. The other fundraiser is the swim-a-thon where swimmers swim laps for two hours straight. The swimmers will obtain pledges per lap and swim as many laps possible in a two hour period. The swimmers challenge you to by stepping up and challenging them to see how many laps they can swim! Please consider sponsoring either of both of these worthy fundraisers as our swimmers and coaches have been working so hard to improve our program.
The Pacifica Sea Lions web site is a great way to view your friends and family in action at the meets. Please click on the photo gallery to see exciting team photos. These photos can be purchased as well and can be made into mugs, shirts, ect. They make great gift ideas and a portion of the proceeds help fund the team. The Pacifica Sea Lions are always looking for new swimmers. The team holds a free 5-day trial to all interested swimmers ages 5-18 on the last five weekdays of every month from 5:15 to 6:15 pm at Oceana pool. Anyone interested in joining the team or even exploring the opportunity to join the team is invited.
