Pacifica Sea Lions Tear It Up at Mavericks Sprint-O-Rama

             The Pacifica Seal Lions swam there their hardest at the Macericks Sprint-O-Rama meet held at Oceana High School on February 11th.  The team was well represented with 22 swimmer competing in 72 individual events with a success rate of 59.72%.  A large number of swimmer did well at the meet, with numerous first time competing swimmers entering events.  Coaches Peter Song and Mary Germano have been working relentlessly to improve the participation and the result of our swimmers at the monthly swim meets.  At this meet we were able to field teams for the relays which we did well on as a team.  The participants as well as their cheering parents and friends were treated to a good show of team spirit and swimming during the relays.  Let?s keep up the tremendous team involvement so we can continue to field relay teams.  Let?s strive for 100% meet attendance.

 

 

             The honor of the sea lion of the meet went to Rachel Weisend who improved her times in all three events she was entered into, including attaining two new B times.  Way to lead the team Rachel!

            A solid effort was also turned in by our veteran Austim Lim 14U Boys in his three races.

 

 

             We are looking forward to the SOLO Aquatic club meet March 24th and 25th at Menlo-Atherton High School.  Please come by and cheer on your local swimmers admission is free and it quite an interesting event to watch.

            The Pacifica Sea Lions are always looking for new swimmers.  The team holds a free 5-day trial to all interested swimmers ages 5-18 on the last five weekdays of every month from 5:15 to 6:15 pm at Oceana pool.  Anyone interested in joining the team or even exploring the opportunity to join the team is invited.
